A Form of Love: Being Cavity-Free
There is a kind of love called "No Cavities"—have you embraced it yet, parents of Longwen?
On June 13, experts from the Fujian Project Team of the National Comprehensive Intervention Program for Children's Oral Diseases delivered a vivid and engaging oral health education session to the students of Lantian Second Experimental Primary School. This event established a benchmark for subsequent oral health awareness activities in Longwen and also marked the successful conclusion of the training conference for the National Comprehensive Intervention Program. Furthermore, the medical institutions in Longwen District responsible for implementing this project successfully passed the evaluation conducted by the Provincial Project Office and Technical Group.

This training initiative received strong support from the experts and medical team of the Fujian Project Team for the National Comprehensive Intervention Program. It provided medical staff at the Longwen institutions undertaking the project with standardized and professional training in areas such as topical fluoride application, dental sealant application, and oral health education. During the sessions, experts engaged in in-depth exchanges with the medical staff, collectively enhancing their understanding of children's oral health issues and their capacity to address them.

Since its launch in 2008, the National Comprehensive Intervention Program for Children's Oral Diseases has garnered unanimous praise from students and parents across the regions where it has been implemented. In 2024, the program finally arrived in Longwen, ushering in a new era of oral health benefits specifically for the children of the district. Moving forward, the Longwen Project Team will collaborate with all stakeholders to explore oral hygiene service models tailored to the unique characteristics of Longwen. Their goal is to bolster the district's oral healthcare service capabilities, improve the overall oral health status of its children, elevate their standards of oral health, and collectively build a bright future for the children of Longwen—a future free of cavities.
